Revelation 2

I picked up a book the other day at the library, called 'The Jerusalem Countdown.' It's written by John Hagee, who is a senior pastor at Cornerstone Church, in San Antonio Texas. I haven't read very much yet because I've been pretty busy. (Mostly baking) ;) But page one and two really perked my interest. I'll write it below. 'It is nearly impossible to pick up an nationally syndicated newspaper today or watch any national morning news broadcast without hearing about the escalating unrest and impending conflict in the Middle East. Many of these news stories deal with conflict between Israel and Iran and the looming threat of Iran's development of nuclear weapons. This book is being written in the spring and summer of 2005. It's very likely that before this book is published early in 2006, America and the nations of the world will be staggering beneath the realization that Iran, a rogue Islamic terrorist state, has officially joined the nuclear club....

Revelation

I can't believe I missed two blog posts!!! Sorry!!! I totally forgot! :( I've been kind of busy lately. I noticed that I haven't done many blog post about life lately. Here goes. I have, baked eclairs, cupcakes, mini muffins (two kinds actually) and my latest accomplishment, are Florentine's. I just finished those a little while ago. The chocolate is now setting. :) I'm a little nervous about them, because I've never candied citrus peels before, and I didn't have enough time for them to cool completely before I cooked them. :/ We'll see how they turn out at snack time.     Okeydokey. Back to the Bible. :) We're going to go through Revelation now. Chapter, by chapter. This stuff is actually really cool, yet, kind of scary. :/ Anyway! :D Here goes: Revelation 1   ' The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants-things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it  by His angel to His servant John, who bo...

He Is Risen!

Luke 24: Now on the first day  of the week, very early in the morning, they, and certain other women  with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood in front of them in shining garment. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their  to the earth, they said to them, " Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.' " And they remembered His words. Then they returned from the tomb and told these things to the eleven and to all the rest. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother  of James, and the other women  with them, who told these things...

Jesus Death

Image
We have made to the story of His death! YAY! Okay, if you are not a christian, and are wondering why we christian's get excited about this, here's the answer. Jesus died to save us from our sins and give us a second chance. He died to redeem us. That's why we get excited for Easter. Because we were redeemed, and we get a second chance at turning from our sins. :) Exciting, right? :D Anyway. Here's Luke chapter 23. 'Then, the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. And they began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this fellow  perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King." Then Pilate asked Him, saying, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him and said, "It is as  you say." So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no fault in this Man." But they were the more fierce, saying, "He stirs up the people, teaching throug...

The Arrest of Jesus Christ

We've made it to the story of the death of Christ. This is will sound strange, but this is the happiest story you will ever hear. I'll explain afterwards.   Luke 22        No the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which was called Passover. And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people. The Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to the them in absence of the multitude. Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat." So they said to Him, "Where do You want us to prepare?" And He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet y...

Christ Born Of Mary

Luke 1:1-21. 'And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.    Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, f...

Prophecy #3

Hi! Sorry this is kind of late, I've been gone most of the day. :/ Anyway! :D Onto Prophecy number three. I've probably skipped a lot of prophecy's about the birth, but we might not have much time left. We need to move on to the Revelation. And that... should be very interesting. O_O Anyway. Today's prophecy, is Matthew 1:21-23. It says, ' And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,'  Which is translated, "God with us." '     You're probably wondering why we're talking about Christmas. ;) Time to do our thing. (I mean to sort) ;)   Verse 21. ' "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins....

Prophecy #2

Hello! Welcome to prophecy number two! :D I was kind of hoping to find the next prophecy a little closer to the last one, but this one is in Isaiah 9:6-7. And remember, Christ hasn't been born yet. Isaiah 9:6-7. 'For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon his shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His  government and peace There will be  no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will preform this.' Phew. Okay. SORTING TIME! :D So, first verse. 'For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.' The first part is saying that a Child will be born, and the reaso...
