A Letter From A Friend

Image
Hello to all my readers across the world!!! :D I was talking with a friend of mine the other day, and we were discussing a book that we had both just finished. For anyone who hasn't read this book series, it's REEEEALLLYYY good! They're Christian books set in the medieval kind of time period. You should check them out. ;)  Anyways. My friend and I got talking and she told me of this idea that she had, and asked if I would help spread the word. She wrote a letter and aske if I could help her distribute this letter around, so I am hoping that all the people who read my blog will help her out with this project. Here is her letter: 'Hello brothers and sisters in Christ,   I was recently reading a book called ‘Sir Bentley and Holbrook Court’ from the book series ‘Knights of Arrethtrae’, and felt like God had laid on my heart the thought to exercise my compassion and love towards others, more often.    I got the idea of writing down song lyrics, bible v...

Life's Updates

Hey guys! How's it been? I've been a little busy, so I haven't had a whole lot of time to sit down and blog, but, the little's are napping and I think   know ( O_O ) ;D that the other's are upstairs watching Little House on the Prairie. :) The calves have been doing really good. Little O is doing well also. They have been drinking water out of the bucket really well by themselves, we don't have to straddle them to feed them their milk now (thank God) ;P, they are eating the grain that we offer them, and are starting to nibble the grass in their pasture! Whoop whoop!!!! :D Anyways. About life. Life has been good. I'm not a morning person, so trying to get up at 7:15 every morning is new to me, and I have started to drift off while reading parts of my science lately. O_O ;P But, other than that, school has been going good, I'm kind of catching on to some of the new things I've been learning in math, science of course has been great (besides the driftin...

My First Cow Experience!!!

Hey guys!!! :D I am now the proud owner of my very own Jersey Bull calf! :D Yay!!! ;P Now, stories. *evil laugh* Sooo.... I did a work trade with Heart 2 Heart farms in Sherwood Oregon. After working for a certain amount of time yesterday, my dad and I drove out to a dairy to pick up our three calves instead of getting paid with money. (That's a trade I'm okay with) ;P We picked up the three, but because we didn't want to start with three, we gave one to some friends of ours who do cows alot, and we kept two. One went to my mom, and I kept the other one. I picked the smaller one, and named him O. Now, 'why the strange name?' you might ask. Have you ever heard of the movie called Home? Well, I've only seen a preview of it, and I didn't even watch the whole thing, but I did see enough to know what the main alien character was like. He was the accidentally, awkward klutz, and that's what my little guy is like, so, I named him O. XD Anyways. We got the two h...

Yes... I am a child.

The title says it all. I am such a child when it comes to this one certain thing:                                                                 Dressing up.  XD I absolutely LOVE costumes and dressing up. As soon as I was old enough to go to the ECD balls, I was sooooo excited that I finally had a reason for dressing up (seeing as my family and I don't celebrate Halloween). The first ball I went to, was the Adventures on High Seas. Had no idea what to go as, so I went as the stereotypical pirate. :D The skirt was fun to make. ;P  My ensemble consisted of a plain ol' wite t-shirt, a black skirt where I cut up the bottom randomly, a piece of red scrap fabric as a belt, you can obviously see the foam sword stuck in there (in case someone stepped on my feet, I c...

Just Life

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted much about normal life. I've been kind of busy. ;D So. Updates. My third oldest sister got married in June, and I am now the oldest girl in the house. I was working but am not anymore. I flew out to Mississippi for a couple days with my mom to see my grandparents. I won first place in the county fair with my short story The Symphony. I've been working on finishing up my novel Evidence for Angels. Almost done with that. I've been fixing up our barn for the beef calf I should be bringing home soon. Annnddd......... Hmm..... what else has been filling up my time? I guess just life in general. Chores. Helping mom. Working on my books. Looking forward to fall. ;) My family and I will be starting school on the fourth of September. Kinda looking forward to that. ;D Other than that, I can't think of anything else exciting that has kept me busy. Oh, and of course, I've been getting ready for the next ECD ball. Sooooo excited a...

You think you know me...

You might see me in town, with my siblings, or one of my parents, and you might think, 'Hm. City girl.' But no, you would be judging the book by it's cover. Yes, I might paint my nails, Yes, I might wear makeup, Yes, I might wear cute clothes and try to look nice, Yes, I might seem like the quite girl, who likes to keep nice and clean, But no. That's only one side of me. I don't care if my nail polish is chipped, I don't make sure my eye shadow is the right way, or that it's the latest style, I don't care if my comfy jeans and t-shirt have wrinkles it them or get a little dirt on them. It'll wash out, I am not quiet. I am obnoxious, I can irritate people before you can say 'Super calli fradullistic expealidocious.' (That was really hard to spell off the top of my head) ;D I sing all the time, I wander around the house talking to myself, and in weird voices/accents, I tap and drum in random patterns for no reason, I can't keep ...

Book recommendation

Hi ya'll! :D Man, I haven't been on here in a while. I just finished reading this really good book called 'Untried'. SUPER good book. Here's some info: Danger awaits Skyler and Surinam with a loaded EPG.  As officers of the of the Allied Galactic Nations' defense corps, they recieved their first assignment on board the GNS Adventure.  When the Adventure is given the task of protecting a mineral rich planet, the two cousins get unexpectadly roped into becoming secret agents.  A mysterious new captain, an overnight infestation of rats, and an army of Space Pirates fill this children's novel with excitement and adventure.  Join them in their voyage as they decide who they can trust, how to serve God, and discover the mysterious art of espianoge.   Written by real life cousins Emily Chapin and HeliAnna Abbott, this sci-fi book is your ticket to some serious space adventure!  (I didn't write that ^ by the way. It's off of Amazon.) ;D But yeah. It...

Of The Flesh or Of The Spirit?

I have had this question for a while, concerning a few things that I own. I just asked a dear friend of mine, who is like a grandmother to me, that question. I have two things for that question. I'll give you the first. I bought a shirt at Walmart a while back. Super cute shirt, modest, might need to be brought up just a little, and it came with a necklace. I like the necklace, I think it's cute. But it's a dream catcher. I knew that this most likely did not please God, but my question, was, if I don't even believe in the whole dream catcher thing and wore it, but it still dis-pleased God, should I get rid of it. Her answer, was that if I felt uncomfortable every time I put the necklace on, then maybe it was God trying to tell me that He didn't like it. I don't feel that way, I feel like it is just a necklace that jingles when I walk. ;D    My second object, was, there is a book series that I read. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Now, I have loved these...

Life

Life is such a strange thing. At least, for me it is. You never know what's really going on, if you do there's nothing you can do about it, one day you walk around the house singing, the next.... you feel a heaviness on your shoulders and you don't know why. At least that's what it's like for me. I'm not really sure what I'm feeling today, so I decided to post this saying in case other people feel like me. It has helped me a lot lately.     'Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain.'  I'm still learning to dance in the rain.
