The pen kind of describes my life. I hate it when people continuously click it, but when I have one in my hands, I do NOT stop clicking it. And it's fun. ;P
I just started reading a book called 'Words That Hurt, Words That Heal', by Carole Mayhall. It really got me thinking on my words. Are my words like a fountain of life, or are they like a babbling brook, running on the surface, rushing helter-skelter over the rocks? I'm a fast talker, and sometimes I don't really stop and think about what my words might do to others before I say them. "The written word is a powerful thing, you've got to be careful with it." -Mo Fulchart from "Inkheart". I know that as a writer, I was given a gift of being able to put words on paper and create a story, another world for people to delve into. As I promise, here's my newest addition to the giant stack of books on my dresser. (No, I don't have a bookshelf. Long story) ;D Sorry it's not a very good picture. To be honest, whenever I heard the word 'mindset', I always kinda shut my brain down. 'Yeah, change your mindset and you can change your lifestyle, and all that stuff.' But now that things have gotten busy for me and I've gotten older, I need a new mindset. I need a new lifestyle. I'm going to be an adult, I need to work harder on the important things in life such as my relationships with friends, family and the Lord, my home life, my school work, and my health. I want to make this year better than 2019. I want to fill it with memories with friends and family, and grow closer to the Lord. ...
