Words
I just started reading a book called 'Words That Hurt, Words That Heal', by Carole Mayhall. It really got me thinking on my words. Are my words like a fountain of life, or are they like a babbling brook, running on the surface, rushing helter-skelter over the rocks? I'm a fast talker, and sometimes I don't really stop and think about what my words might do to others before I say them. "The written word is a powerful thing, you've got to be careful with it." -Mo Fulchart from "Inkheart". I know that as a writer, I was given a gift of being able to put words on paper and create a story, another world for people to delve into. But I often use this gift for more entertainment than for what God would want me to do. I don't write bad things, but they aren't necessarily christian things.
