The 2nd Amendment. Protect Our Rights!
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
This comes from the United States Constitution. It's the second amendment, and it is basically saying, 'a well ARMED militia is necessary for the security of our country. The peoples right to bear arms (guns) shall not be infringed.'
I looked up the word 'infringed' in our dictionary. Here's what it says: "To break or disregard the terms of, as a law; violate," In simple terms, 'this can not be broken, or changed.' Our government is doing just that. They are turning into England of 1775. When England tried to tie us to the king, and make us depend on them, so that they ruled over our life, telling us what we can and can't do, a war broke out. The government has turned into the king of England. They are taking away our rights, they are trying to tell us what we can and can not do, as in, our gun rights. I fully support our gun rights. There, it's out. If someone comes to our door, claiming that they are here to take away our guns, they're gonna get the 2nd amendment shoved in their face, and then the door will be shoved in their face! I ain't gonna let them take away MY gun! (technically, I only have an airsoft pistol, but I like to call dad's 22 my gun, since I use it more) ;) If there is anyone who reads my blog that supports gun control, :| I'm not sorry if I have caused offense. They haven't taken away our freedom of speech, so I'm gonna use my voice to speak out, and raise awareness, of how, little by little, our freedom, that our forefathers fought so hard for, is slipping away from us. Think about all the moms and families, who lost brothers, sons, and fathers, so that we could be free here in the future, but we let it slip. They would be angry, ashamed that they even cared about us. I know that I am ashamed, that I have taken things for granted. Now that I'm older, I understand more, and I've come to realize, that it's time for change. For a good change. We need to speak out, and stand up for our freedom if we don't want it taken away! You've got a voice people! Use it!
