Prophecy #3

Hi! Sorry this is kind of late, I've been gone most of the day. :/ Anyway! :D Onto Prophecy number three. I've probably skipped a lot of prophecy's about the birth, but we might not have much time left. We need to move on to the Revelation. And that... should be very interesting. O_O Anyway. Today's prophecy, is Matthew 1:21-23. It says, ' And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,' Which is translated, "God with us." '

You're probably wondering why we're talking about Christmas. ;) Time to do our thing. (I mean to sort) ;)   Verse 21. ' "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." ' I think this is probably the third time I've said it, but I'll say it again. Remember, Jesus hasn't been born yet. The angel that is saying this, is speaking with Joseph, Jesus' earthly father, in a dream. So, we are getting close. Mary is with child as he has this dream. The prophecy says, that he will be the Son of God, and He will 'save HIS people from their sins'. HIS people? Why are we HIS people? Okay, let's put it this way. If you made some little animals out of clay, and they turned out really well, you'd probably be really proud. You'd also probably say, 'do you want to see my animals?' You are referring to them as yours. Why? Because you made them. You carefully and lovingly formed them out of a lumpy, formless, piece of clay, and tenderly rolled out each piece, and thoughtfully placed each piece in it's place. You put extreme thought and diligence, and thoroughness into them. They are yours. It's the same with God. God created Adam. He created each part of Adams body with love, thought, and care. And when God was finished, He saw that it was good. He was probably really proud to. He loves His people. He creates each baby, and knows about every single one before their even formed in their mothers womb. A friend of mine got married a while ago and is expecting their first. It's kind of cool thinking about this with their child. :) Back to what we're discussing. God creates each and every one of us, so we are His. But, are Jesus' people as well? Yes. Because, I'll admit, I still don't understand this completely myself, but, because God and Jesus are the same person, but in two. O_o Yeah, confusing, but, I believe it. God can do anything, why not this? :) So, we are Jesus' people for that reason. Because... we are His. ;) Very difficult to explain. ;P Okay, back to the prophecy. It says that He will die to save His people from their sins. But wait! He hasn't been born yet! Another prophecy! He will die to save His people. But that won't happen for a while. But God knows what will happen. He doesn't need a prophecy. He's the wisest of all. :) Verse 22. 'So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,' Aaaaand we'll pause there. This one pretty much interprets its self. It says, that this was done so that the word that the Lord spoke would happen. The prophecy is coming true! AAAAHHHH!!!! ;P Verse 23. '"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." ' This is the prophecy that is coming true from verse 22. His name shall be called Immanuel, which is translated, 'God with us." Why did they give someone a name that means, 'God with us'? Maybe because, God was came down to earth a as a child, a human, and lived with the people there until His death and Resurrection, and He was with them.... and He is God. Ring a bell? God... with us? ;P  I know. Lame joke. ;) Anyway. So there's your third prophecy. Tomorrow... I don;t know what I'll do. I might just type out the story of Jesus' birth. That would fulfill the prophecy of His birth, BUT! we still have to go through the death and Resurrection! :D Best. Story. EVER!!!! ;D Have a good rest of the day you guys. :D
