Yes... I am a child.

              The title says it all. I am such a child when it comes to this one certain thing:
                                                                Dressing up.  XD

I absolutely LOVE costumes and dressing up. As soon as I was old enough to go to the ECD balls, I was sooooo excited that I finally had a reason for dressing up (seeing as my family and I don't celebrate Halloween). The first ball I went to, was the Adventures on High Seas. Had no idea what to go as, so I went as the stereotypical pirate. :D The skirt was fun to make. ;P

 My ensemble consisted of a plain ol' wite t-shirt, a black skirt where I cut up the bottom randomly, a piece of red scrap fabric as a belt, you can obviously see the foam sword stuck in there (in case someone stepped on my feet, I could smack them on the head without getting in trouble) ;P, and to finish off the outfit, I tied a bandanna around my head and put one little braid in my hair off to the side. :) I was very happy with how it turned out. 

The second ball I went to was the Twelfth Night ball, (I actually went to that one two years in a row) I don't have any pictures of what I wore for that though. And then , oh ho ho... then, I went to the... Sci-Fi ball!!! :D My most favorite ball EVER!!! (I fangirled so hard at all the costumes.) XD

I was so, EXTREMELY proud of how this turned out, and this was actually a hastily, thrown together back up costume in case the first one didn't work. (The first one did not work, hence the reason I wore the back up.) ;D And, what helped make it so perfect, was that my older sister had given me a set of throwing knives for Christmas, so they nestled on my hip throughout the entire evening. :D 

And now. Duh duh duuuuhhhhnnnnn......... The costume for the next ball. 
Oh wait... that's not my costume. 

THIS is my costume!!!! I actually wasn't going to tell anyone, but, eh, why not? ;P The mask was the hardest part to make, but it turned out amazing. I had no pattern for it though, so I looked at a picture and free handed it. O_O ;P Besides that, I am so happy with how it's turned out. :) 
SOOOOOO EXCITED FOR THE BALL!!!!! XD

Starting Anew

    I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! It feels like this Christmas season has flown by so quickly!     This coming year is going to be a new start for me, and I want to make it a good one. I turn eighteen on January 1st, (cue the panic) so not only is it a new year, it's a new age for me. A new year, a new age, and hopefully a new mindset.     To be honest, whenever I heard the word 'mindset', I always kinda shut my brain down. 'Yeah, change your mindset and you can change your lifestyle, and all that stuff.' But now that things have gotten busy for me and I've gotten older, I need a new mindset. I need a new lifestyle. Jesus Death

We have made to the story of His death! YAY! Okay, if you are not a christian, and are wondering why we christian's get excited about this, here's the answer. Jesus died to save us from our sins and give us a second chance. He died to redeem us. That's why we get excited for Easter.
